Guest speaker Pietro Gorlier was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer - MOPAR Brand Service, Parts and Customer Care, Chrysler Group LLC, in 2009.
Mr. Gorlier has also shared accountability with the brands, responsible for parts and services growth and delivery, and an integrated world class approach to customer support.
He joined the Chrysler Group from Fiat Group Automobiles S.p.A. and CNH Global N.V., where he previously served as head of the Network and Owned Dealerships organization.

Another successful business networking event for IAABT in Birmingham, MI. More than 100 attendee filled the room at The Townsend Hotel for a special presentation "From the Sub-prime crisis in the USA to the debt crisis in Greece. Crises with global implications.Growing wariness among investors, the future of Euro-zone and implication for the USA" by Adolfo Laurenti, Deputy Chief Economist at Mesirow Financial in Chicago.

 

May 6, 2010 - May 6 signaled another successful business networking event for IAABT in Cleveland, Ohio. Massimo Denipoti, President of the Italian American Alliance for Business and Technology ,was guest speaker at the Northern Ohio Italian American Foundation Spring Meeting.  This was an excellent opportunity for the two organizations to become better acquainted, and to explore prospects for collaboration.  The event attracted over 130 people, including four members of the IAABT Board of Directors. Bart Pascoli, a  representative  from the Italian Trade Commission of Chicago, was also present.

July 15, 2009 - The Automotive Technology of Italy
More than 200 automotive executives and government officials filled the main ballroom of the Townsend Hotel. The event was designed to highlight Italian automotive suppliers already established in Michigan, as well as other who are establishing a presence here. Governor Jennifer Granholm opened the event with an enthusiastic call for partnering between Italy and Michigan to create a new technology supplier base in this region.

March 11, 2009 - The IAABT hosted another successful business networking event in Detroit gathering 3 great panelists:
David Cole - Chairman, Center for Automotive Research, Automotive News Group
Craig Fitzgerald - Partner, Strategy and Global Services Group, Plante & Moran
Tony Richards - Independent automotive professional.
The moderator was John McElroy host of Autoline Daily and Autoline Detroit TV.
The event attracted over 150 business leaders from the local community. Participants included representatives from Chrysler, GM, Federal Mogul, Eaton, Bosch, Brembo NA Inc, Michelin USA, Faurecia, Heller, Autoliv North America, Dow Automotive. 
The Consul of Italy in Detroit, Dr. Marco Nobili was also present.
